As usual, except for the 36-hole ‘Challenge Cup’ 2-day event in August, the above are all played over 18 holes on the 3rd Thursday in the month.
Also, please note that this year (again, except for the event in August, when the Overall Winner is decided over the 2 days) we will be running 5 competitions on the day, each with a trophy up for grabs: · Overall Winner (i.e.- Highest Total Stableford Score) · Nearest The Pin · Highest Total Stableford Score - Front 9 · Highest Total Stableford Score - Back 9 · Highest Total Stableford Score - ‘Mystery 5’
All players on the day, including guests, can qualify for these trophies. However, players can only win 1 of the available trophies on each occasion. If there is a tie, the winner will be determined by count back. The ‘Mystery 5’ comprises 5 randomly-selected holes, secretly chosen by the local Club Pro, & not revealed to any of us until after we’ve all finished playing!
In addition, as with previous years, we will be running 4 league competitions (for Members only) throughout the year: · Highest Total Stableford Points (best 7 scores over the year to count) · Highest Average Stableford Points Per Round (best 7 scores to count) · Highest Total Net Birdies (best 7 scores to count) · Highest Average Net Birdies Per Round (best 7 scores to count)
Note: Net Eagles (or better!) only count as 1 Net Birdie, not as multiple Net Birdies! |
